Back Home is Gallardo’s directorial debut. In this director's semi-biographic short film, we follow the subject dealing with clashing feelings towards her family while seeking escapism from her own feelings and thoughts.
Film Essays
As an avid filmmaker and advocate for minority rights, Marisol enjoys doing research and creating video essays and documentaries about film productions that speak about groups whose voices we don’t get to hear about often due to the economics of the entertainment business. Through her video essays, Marisol aims to continue the fight to revive and expand the recognition of stories from such communities.
